How BizKelp recommends software
BizKelp is designed to narrow a complicated software market into a practical starting point. Recommendations are based on how a cleaning business operates—not on who has the largest advertising budget.

What affects a recommendation
The cleaning advisor evaluates the answers provided during the session, including:
- The kind of cleaning work: residential, vacation rental, commercial/janitorial, or a mixture
- The business stage, team size, and estimated monthly cleaning volume
- How customers should schedule and reschedule appointments
- Whether work uses standard prices, hourly billing, custom estimates, or several methods
- The operational problems software should solve first
- The monthly budget the business considers comfortable
How products are compared
Each answer increases or decreases the relevance of different software options. A platform may score well because it fits online self-booking, recurring residential schedules, quote-driven jobs, commercial inspections, employee coordination, or a limited budget. Guardrails keep highly specialized or enterprise-oriented products from appearing above more complete systems when the business has not expressed the matching need.
The result shows one best match and two alternatives because a recommendation is a starting point, not a substitute for evaluating the products yourself.
How independence is protected
Payment or advertising is not a ranking factor. BizKelp does not accept payment to move a software provider higher in the results. If BizKelp later earns compensation from a provider or an affiliate link, that relationship will be disclosed clearly and will not change the recommendation logic.
What BizKelp does—and does not—verify
BizKelp reviews publicly available product information, including positioning, features, intended users, and pricing information. Software products change frequently. A listed feature may move between plans, a price may change, or a provider may revise its terms after the advisor is updated.
Users should confirm current pricing, capabilities, integrations, contract terms, data-export options, and cancellation requirements directly with a provider before subscribing. BizKelp does not test every feature under every plan and does not guarantee that a recommendation will produce a particular business result.
How the advisor improves
BizKelp reviews product changes and uses voluntary, anonymous feedback to identify confusing questions, missing considerations, or recommendations that deserve another look. Submitted feedback may include the questionnaire answers and recommendations shown so the issue can be evaluated in context; the feedback form does not request a name or email address.
Use the recommendation as the beginning of due diligence
After receiving a shortlist, test the customer experience on a phone, model the full cost at the intended team size, confirm essential integrations, and try a realistic booking or job workflow before committing.
