This page explains how the BizKelp website and software advisors handle information.

Questionnaire answers

Your questionnaire answers are used in your browser to calculate recommendations. BizKelp does not ask for your name, email address, account, or payment information. Your answers are sent to BizKelp only if you voluntarily submit the feedback form after seeing your matches.

Voluntary feedback

If you voluntarily submit feedback, BizKelp stores your feedback text, the questionnaire answers used to produce your result, the three recommendations shown, the page version, the submission environment, and your browser’s user-agent string. The form does not request your name or email address. This information is used to evaluate and improve the advisor and diagnose problems.

Analytics and performance data

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and interaction measurement. It may process page views, referring pages, device and browser information, approximate location derived from network information, and limited interaction events such as starting or completing an advisor, opening a comparison, selecting a software-provider link, or successfully submitting feedback. These analytics events do not include your questionnaire answers or feedback text. Speed Insights is not enabled.

Persistent anonymous journey measurement

BizKelp also uses a first-party random browser identifier to understand how an anonymous browser may use the site across multiple visits. A separate random session identifier groups activity occurring within the same browsing period; a new session begins after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity. The browser identifier is renewed when the site is used and expires after 24 months of inactivity.

Journey records may include timestamps, BizKelp page paths, advisor selected, advisor start and completion events, the highest questionnaire step reached, comparison activity, the software recommendations displayed, provider selected, recommendation position, referral placement, referring hostname, and non-identifying campaign tags. BizKelp does not use this system to store names, email addresses, phone numbers, questionnaire answers, feedback text, browser fingerprints, or IP addresses as behavioral identifiers. BizKelp does not attempt to merge the same person across different browsers or devices.

Referral click records

When you choose a software-provider link, BizKelp may create a random click ID and store the time of the click, the provider, recommendation position, link placement, BizKelp source page, non-identifying campaign tags, and the anonymous browser and session identifiers described above when they are available. The referral-click record does not store your name, email address, questionnaire answers, feedback text, or IP address. If BizKelp later uses an approved affiliate or referral program for that provider, the random click ID may be passed to the partner platform as a sub-ID so BizKelp can reconcile reported referrals and commissions. Referral compensation does not affect recommendation rankings.

Third-party websites

Recommendation links take you to independent software providers. Their privacy practices apply once you leave BizKelp.

Retention, sharing, and choices

Detailed anonymous journey events are retained on a rolling basis for up to 24 months. Older detailed events are automatically deleted. BizKelp may retain de-identified aggregate statistics, such as daily counts of page views, advisor completions, and provider clicks, for longer-term trend analysis because those aggregate records do not contain the anonymous browser or session identifiers.

Submitted feedback and referral-click records are retained for up to 24 months so BizKelp can evaluate and improve the advisors, reconcile referral reporting, and diagnose problems, then they are deleted or anonymized. Limited information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. BizKelp does not sell questionnaire answers or feedback.
